Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Hamesh, an independent app operated by Hayfa in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia ("Hamesh", "we"). By creating an account or using Hamesh you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who can use Hamesh

You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission. You're responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since that's how you sign in.

Your posts

• You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to store and display it on Hamesh so the service can work.
• Mark spoilers and add the chapter number when you discuss plot details.
• Short quotations are fine for discussion. Don't post full chapters, whole books, or other material you don't have the right to share.

Community rules

Don't post content that harasses or threatens people, is hateful, sexual, or misleading, shares someone's private information, advertises or spams, or breaks the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Club hosts can hide posts in their clubs. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Use Report on any post that worries you. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content or accounts that break these rules. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

Friends and private messages

You can send friend requests and, once accepted, message friends privately. The community rules apply to messages too. Only friends can message each other, and you can remove a friend or block someone at any time; blocking ends the friendship and stops messages both ways. Use Report on any message that worries you, and we'll review it within 24 hours. Be careful about sharing personal details or meeting people you only know online.

Clubs and hosts

Anyone can start a club. Hosts set the book, pace and member limit and help keep their club welcoming. In-person meetings are arranged between members; Hamesh doesn't organise or supervise them, so use your own judgement about meeting people.

The service

Hamesh is provided as it is, and features may change. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses arising from your use of the service.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and any dispute will be decided by the competent courts in Riyadh.
